Kerbside collections of garden waste re-start next week across Hambleton.
By cancelling collections over the winter months – when there is generally a reduction in garden waste – district council refuse collection staff have been able to undertake essential training such as driver competence, first aid and health and safety training.
The team of refuse collectors also took to the district’s main roads armed with litter picking equipment – which included visits to the A19, A172, A684 and A168. They filled more than 1000 refuse sacks with litter and collected another eight tonnes of waste including general household DIY.
