Every bride-to-be or groom will want to look their best on their big day, as they will want to look back at the wedding photos with fondness. To ensure you feel happy and confident on your special day, we’re offering six pre-wedding health tips you need to read.

  • Fish and Poultry

Fish and poultry are both full of protein, which can provide your body with some much-needed energy during wedding planning. They will also keep your body fuller for longer, so you are less likely to crave unhealthy foods that will affect your waistline. What’s more, both fish and poultry are packed with omega 3 and 6, which can aid the passageway of nutrients in and out your cells for a healthier body.

  • Eat a Grapefruit Daily

Grapefruit is one of those fruits you either love or hate. Its bitter taste can often make you wince, but researchers believe it’s one of the best foods for weight loss. It’s believed people who eat a grapefruit daily are more likely to lose weight than those who don’t. Not only that, but the fruit can reduce your insulin levels, which will make you feel less hungry. Even if you don’t like the taste, you’ll love the results it provides to your body.

  • Reduce Your Salt Intake

Wedding preparations can often take up much of your time. Between visiting different wedding venues London and beyond, and trying on different dresses or suits, you might be tempted to save time and reach for an unhealthy snack. Unfortunately, this may only cause you to feel a little more self-conscious come the big day.

One of the best ways to create a healthy body ahead of the wedding is by cutting your salt intake. The average salt consumption is believed to be 9g per day, which is mostly from bread and breakfast cereals. If you can cut back 3g of salt each day, your body could lose 1.5 litres of excess fluid, which is 2-3lb in weight.

  • Add Chilli

Do you want a little more spice in your life? Well, you will once you hear that chillies can support weight loss. This flavour-filled ingredient can speed up your metabolism, which can help you to lose weight. If you want to burn calories at a quicker rate, add a little chilli to your recipes. You’ll be glad you did when you’re slipping on your wedding dress or suit.

  • Eat Your Greens

There’s a reason your parents and grandparents encouraged you to eat your greens – it’s because they’re good for you. They can speed up weight loss, and they also contain lutein, which can protect your skin against dehydration and a loss of elasticity. If you want to enjoy a healthy, radiant complexion on your wedding day, eat more cabbage, broccoli, kale and green beans.

  • Whip Up Some Eggs

Another healthy source of protein to add into your diet is eggs. It’s a natural appetite suppressant, as eating two eggs at breakfast is thought to ensure you eat 400 fewer calories less throughout the day. We know what you’ll be eating for breakfast tomorrow!
