Consett-based Valued Accountancy has welcomed Donna Harrison as customer services manager.  She joins the organisation from Harlands Accountants where she worked as a customer services assistant.

Donna, 37, has worked in the sector for the past 20 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.  She is relishing her new role where she will liaise with clients focusing on the delivery of customer service and helping to raise awareness and profile of the business through corporate events and social media.

Donna’s appointment further strengthens the company’s growth plans as it seeks to expand it service globally where it is already working with clients in Sweden, South Africa and Dubai.

The company, which won the Xero Overall Accounting Partner of the Year award this year provides accountancy, consultancy and business support and is one of four Practice Studio Partners in the UK that provides consultancy and training to small and medium sized organisations by implementing software on behalf of Xero.

Stephen Paul, Owner and Managing Director of Valued Accountancy, said: “We are currently working with over 600 clients across the UK and in Ireland and have ambitious plans to expand the business by working with clients across the globe.

“The beauty about working with cloud-based accounting software is that anyone, anywhere in the world can use it.  What we need to do is built the correct infrastructure to be able to support all of our clients and to help us achieve this, we need to recruit the right members of staff.

“The business is growing at a considerable rate and our staff are our greatest asset.  Donna brings with her a lot of experience and I am really looking forward to working with her – I am sure she will help us to improve and take the business forward.”

Donna from Leadgate started her new role at the end August.  She said: “This is an exciting new role and I am really pleased to have been given the opportunity to work with a successful team.  These are exciting times for Valued Accountancy and I am very proud to be part of that.  I am looking forward to working with Valued’s clients and helping them to grow their own businesses.”
