The historic restoration project is now nearing completion and Acklam Hall will open its doors in February 2016 following a multi-million pound renovation.

As well as its restaurant and four unique function suites for weddings and other special events, Acklam Hall will also be home to 18 serviced offices and a number of state-of-the-art conference and meeting room facilities.

Known as ‘The Bvsiness Rooms’, the offices range in size from two to 10 desks and have a dedicated reception service and super-fast internet. The facilities are complimented by a range of meeting rooms, conference facilities and experienced administrative support.

The word ‘Bvsiness’ refers to a room within Acklam Hall named by the previous owner, Mr Hustler.  In the classical Latin alphabet, before the use of the letter ‘U’, the shape ‘V’ stood for both the vowel ‘U’ and the consonant ‘V’.

In addition to the serviced offices, virtual offices are also available for companies not yet requiring a physical workspace but who desire an exclusive address, telephone answering and mail handling service.

The private, fully-equipped serviced offices in Acklam Hall offer 24 hour access, off-road parking, a fully staffed reception, use of the restaurant for informal meetings, a dedicated telephone line and voicemail with remote access message retrieval, personalised call answering in the individual company name, mail and fax handling and showering facilities.

Grade I listed Acklam Hall has undergone an 18 month complex renovation restoring its rooms and dozens of features dating back hundreds of years to their original grandeur. The redevelopment, by Acklam Hall Limited, has seen the complete restoration of the building, which dates back to the 1680s and was home to Teesside’s Hustler family for almost 250 years, before becoming a school in the 1930s.

Over the coming months, Acklam Hall will create over 20 new jobs in Middlesbrough as well as opportunities for dozens of local suppliers.

Martin Williams, from Acklam Hall Ltd, said: “The Bvsiness Rooms at Acklam Hall have been purposely designed to suit the needs of a small business with all the facilities that they would require. What’s more, the offices are located in one of the most recognisable buildings on Teesside with easy access from all main routes.”

Acklam Hall Ltd also recently revealed that the restaurant would be named ‘The Brierley’ after the architect Walter Brierley who designed the alterations to the hall in 1912. The restaurant will serve classic, homemade dishes from breakfast and lunch through to afternoon tea and dinner, using seasonal products from local suppliers. For special occasions, there are also a number of private dining rooms.

Other notable rooms within Acklam Hall include: – The Drawing Room with its spectacular ceiling and views of Middlesbrough’s famous ‘Avenue of Trees’, which will be available for larger celebrations of up to 120 guests such as wedding breakfasts and evening receptions, conferences and larger business events; The Parlour, which will be used for private dining and civil ceremonies; and The Boudoir, which will be used for smaller celebrations and functions.
