Analox shortlisted for Best Factory Awards

Emma HarbottleThe Best Factory Awards are designed to celebrate and promote the best that UK manufacturing has to offer.

The categories Analox have been shortlisted for are Best SME, Most Improved Plant and Best Electronics & Electrical Plant.

The awards programme is in its 25th year and is open to any UK based plant (large or small).

The award winners are selected by a team of assessors led by Professor Marek Szwejczewski, Director of the Best Factory Awards, from Cranfield School of Management.

The selection process consists of two distinct stages. The first stage is based on an audit questionnaire completed by each participating organisation. The best factories identified by analysis of the questionnaires are shortlisted for consideration as prospective category award winners.

The shortlisted plants are then invited to participate in the second stage of the competition, which involves a plant visit by the team of assessors.

During the visit the assessors meet with management and the workforce and tour the site.

Once all of the factories have been visited, the winners are selected for each category, and one of the category award winners is chosen as Factory of the Year.

Winners for this year’s awards will be announced on Friday 14 October at a ceremony being held in the National Motorcycle Museum and Conference Centre near Birmingham.

Emma Harbottle, Operations Director, Analox, said: “Being shortlisted is fantastic news, and is a reflection of all of the great work everyone has been doing. Our company has grown so much over the past few years and we are always striving to continuously improve. I’m looking forward to finding out the results in October.”
