An awards programme celebrating the talent of employees across the North East is urging individuals to nominate colleagues that they feel make an invaluable contribution to their businesses.
The North East Employee of the Year Awards, which will hold its first inaugural ceremony on Friday 17th June at the Wynyard Hall Hotel, will provide an opportunity for staff at all levels to be rewarded for their hard work across the region.
Employees themselves alongside managers, directors and board members are being called on to nominate colleagues who deserve special acknowledgment or who have already been recognised by internal awards.
Showcasing many aspects of employee talent will be the highlight of the evening and awards such as Unsung Hero and Outstanding Service will celebrate the fantastic efforts of those nominated.
The programme was founded by leading North East event management company, She’s Gott It!, following the decision by leading local businesses to showcase the talent of the region’s employees.
The event is being run in partnership with Tesco Underwriting with additional sponsors including Sunderland College, Harvey & Hugo and George F. White.
She’s Gott it! managing director, Nickie Gott, said: “The awards will add real value to the region, as there are no other ceremonies in the North East that offer a platform to shout about employee success stories. Company’s rely on non-management team members a great deal, they are the face of the business and often do the hardest work, so we decided that it is time to celebrate their talent and reward their loyalty.”
