The Bannatyne Group has been recognised as an outstanding employer with a good work atmosphere, with Investors in People accreditation.

The Group, which employs around 3,000 people across the UK, received the award from the Government-recognised body following surveys of staff who were picked at random.

Investors in People is an internationally recognised accreditation, which sets the standard for people management. It is underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology and a framework to reflect the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

Justin Musgrove, Chief Executive at The Bannatyne Group, said: “I’m delighted that The Bannatyne Group has secured Investors in People accreditation, especially as this is the first time we have applied.

“Our colleagues receive continual training in a bid to become the employer of choice in the health and fitness industry. Investing in our staff demonstrates that we appreciate their hard work and commitment to our members.

“We understand that happy staff make for happy customers, so given this accolade, it is no coincidence that our membership is growing.”

Helen Seddon, Group Human Resources Manager for the Bannatyne Group, said: “I am delighted that we have received this accolade.

“The Bannatyne Group strives for excellence in everything we do, which is reflected in our workplace practices. This accreditation is independent recognition that our approach to nurture and support talent pays dividends.”
