Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Black Friday success in store and online for Middlesbrough designer store

Bucking the national trend the store itself also saw significant increases in sales last week (w/c 21/11/16); menswear was up by 27%, tailoring 12%, children’s wear by an astonishing 96% and Psyche 2, the smaller store based in the Cleveland Centre, Middlesbrough by almost 16%.

Owner Steve Cochrane said: “Black Friday and Cyber Monday seem to divide opinion but at Psyche, both online and in store we have noticed a substantial increase in sales in the week leading up to, and the weekend of Black Friday and this shows little sign of abating.

“We have invested significantly in our online presence and e-commerce and will continue to do so, including creating a number of new jobs, and the increasing staff numbers have meant we needed to expand our premises to support the sales function.

“The retail world is changing and Psyche is moving with the times with some exciting technology firsts we are working on to ensure that the business stays at the cutting edge.

“The figures we recorded last week demonstrate that this investment in our online sales function is paying dividends, however it also shows that people still enjoy the personal retail experience and our award-winning store design is attracting customers in huge numbers.”
