ENTERTAINING the kids will be plane sailing at the Bridges this Saturday (July 23) with an airshow-inspired giveaway.
As the city welcomes the return of Sunderland International Airshow, the Bridges is getting in on the act by giving away hundreds of foam gliders ahead of the first afternoon of flying.
This year’s show takes to the skies above Seaburn and Roker on Saturday and Sunday July 23 and 24, and the leading shopping centre is doing its bit to celebrate all things airborne.
Andy Bradley, Centre Director at the Bridges is looking forward to welcoming visitors who may be in town for the show. “The airshow is without doubt one of the biggest events in Sunderland and here at the Bridges we always like to get involved in some way,” he explained.
“This year we are giving shoppers the chance to pick up a free foam glider toy so the kids can create their own little air displays ahead of the actual show, which starts on Saturday afternoon.”
The foam gliders will be available to pick up free on a first come first served basis from 9am at the Customer Service desk. Offer available while stocks last, and the gliders are limited to one per child.
