A popular festival celebrating being aged over 50 in North Tyneside is returning next month, with a busy programme of activities.
‘Age Takes Centre Stage’ will be taking place throughout October, full of events and activities specially designed for the over-50s to try something new and meet new people.
The annual month-long festival runs a wide variety of events and activities, ranging from creative writing to digital skills sessions, and activities like swimming, walking football and even a climbing wall for beginners.
The festival is a joint project between North Tyneside Council and Age UK North Tyneside to encourage residents to meet new people, develop new interests and visit new places.
