A PCB training groupPink Collar Boxing is a charity boxing event which offers women 8 weeks of free boxing training, culminating with a boxing showcase event where participants will be matched with an opponent of equal build and ability, to show off their newly found boxing skills in the ring, in front of family and friends!  There is a Newcastle event, taking place on Saturday 9th July and training for that event is happening now.

“I saw the Pink Collar Boxing page on Facebook a few months back, and I thought it looked like a great opportunity to learn how to box and build up my fitness, whilst raising money for charity, too.”

“I’ve signed up to participate in the Newcastle event and I am fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support as they are a charity close to my heart, offering help and comfort to those whose lives have sadly been affected by cancer.  I have already received some very generous donations from my family, friends and work colleagues.”

If you want to learn how to box, get fit, lose weight, tone up, increase your confidence and/or meet new friends, then why not sign up to the Pink Collar Boxing challenge?!  It’s aimed at beginners of all ages, shapes & sizes.

Training for this event is happening NOW and anyone interested or considering taking part is encouraged to come along to one of the training sessions at Jobes Boxing Gym in Benwell, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 6RR on either a Tuesday or a Thursday, 6pm – 7pm.  All you need is your one off £10 sign-up fee & your gym kit!

“Everyone I’ve met so far has been really friendly and supportive, from the staff at Pink Collar Boxing, the professional boxing trainers at Jobes Boxing Gym and the other participants.  There’s a real sense of teamwork and I’m really enjoying the training sessions, which are a combination of boxing techniques, mixed with some fitness.  I am already feeling so much fitter and toned – it’s great!”

However, any gents reading this need not feel left out!  There is also a men’s event called Charity Box Challenge which is running alongside the ladies event, training at the same location.
