Charity Escapes, the not-for-profit organisation, which match-makes hotels and holiday providers willing to donate prizes to charities hosting fundraising events, has set its sights on raising its first £1 million for charity.
The organisation is the only charity exhibiting at the Annual Hotels Conference (AHC) as it bids to expand its reach within the sector to sign up more hotels and hotel groups to support a wide range of UK charities and good causes.
Charity Escapes has developed a simple and free-to-use service for hotels willing to donate prizes to charity. Its model means hotels benefit from targeted marketing campaigns as well as helping to raise money for charity. These campaigns are delivered through charity partnerships and their networks enabling hotels to reach thousands of potential new customers.
Charity Escapes raised £100,000 with one small hotel group, which donated 50 weekend breaks. The targeted marketing campaign meant the hotel profiles reached more than one million people on social media.
Running for the 15th year and attracting more than 900 delegates, the AHC is the leading event for the UK hotel industry. It takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester on 10th and 11th October.
Charity Escapes Project Director, Rick McCordall, said: “Our ambition is to be the charity partner for the hotel sector, working together to help raise millions of pounds for good causes across the UK. Not only does our model ensure the most amount of money is raised from hotel donations, but all hotels are rewarded for their generosity with a return on investment.
