After kicking off his last tour with a sell-out show at Funny Way To Be in March last year, Djalili will return to The Witham with his new show Schmuck For a Night on Wednesday 22 November 2017.

An award winning comedian and actor, Djalili is one of the most recognisable comics in the country, notching up countless television appearances including Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, and The Royal Variety Performance.

Schmuck for a Night sees Djalili recount some of his biggest faux pas, and encourage his audience to embrace life’s awkward, and often hilarious, missteps.

Intelligent, sometimes provocative and always entertaining, Djalili’s twenty year career has seen him become famous for his hugely energetic and captivating comedy. His astute cultural observations, knack for impressions and accents and cheerful physicality, the award-winning comic has been delighting audiences and critics with his energetic shtick since 1995.

He has also enjoyed success as a writer, having penned two series of sketch program The Omid Djalili Show for the BBC, an episode of popular Sky anthology series Little Crackers, and his autobiography Hopeful, which was released in 2014.

As prominent on screen as he is on stage, Djalili has racked up an acting career as impressive as his comedy CV, with roles in Hollywood blockbusters such as Gladiator, The Mummy, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Infidel.

Earning praise across the world for his performances Djalili has most recently been seen in Dickensian (BBC1), Lucky Man (Sky1) and Going Forward (BBC4) with Jo Brand.

Funny Way To Be promoter Peter Dixon said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Omid back to our stage. His show last year was absolutely magical, one of the best we’d seen at the club to date, and we’ve no doubt his latest show will prove just as entertaining.”

Tickets are £24 (plus booking and restoration fee) and are available now from funnywaytobe.com. Shows suitable for ages 16+.
