Complimentary treatments at Rockliffe Hall to celebrate National Spa Week in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

Screen Shot 2015-10-28 at 13.15.00Rockliffe Hall’s award-winning 5 star spa is celebrating National Spa Week, which runs from 2rd-6th November, by encouraging people who may not have ever considered visiting a spa to give it a go, and raise money for a national cancer charity at the same time.

Throughout the week, Rockliffe Hall, in Hurworth near Darlington, is holding a range of special, limited availability events to encourage people to get together with friends and family for a spa experience – to ‘meet and treat’ while at the same time being asked to help raise much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

From 2nd-6th November, mini-treatments will be offered poolside in the spa as well as in the Boutique, for a suggested, small donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. These will include head and foot massages, hand and arm massages and cuticle and nail treatments. Seasonal cakes and cookies will also contribute to the fundraising.

And on 5th November only, there’s a special ‘Penny for the Guy’ promotion, where ladies can bring their other half for a sumptuous spa day, for only 1p*, to celebrate Bonfire Night. Couples will be treated to a welcome drink on arrival (between 9am and 10am), full use of the wet spa and wellness facilities until 5pm, a delicious 2 course lunch in the Brasserie, as well as access to the Boutique mini-treatments for a small cash donation to Macmillan. *Price is £85.01 for two people.

Rockliffe Hall also has specially-trained therapists on hand to ensure all treatments and facilities are suitable for those affected by cancer.

National Spa Week, now in its 11th year, is organised by the UK Spa Association, a not-for-profit organisation that supports the UK spa industry. The aim of the dedicated week is to raise awareness about spa use and to highlight some of the many health benefits for a variety of people of all ages, whether male or female.

Spa Manager at Rockliffe Hall, Victoria Lees, said: “Latest research by the UK Spa Association reveals that less than 8% of people visit spas and are unaware of the many wellbeing benefits. We hope that, by organising a range of unusual events, vlogs and ‘treats’- we can de-mystify spas and entice more people to prioritise their wellbeing.”
