Screen Shot 2016-03-03 at 13.50.13Three awareness raising sessions which aim to sign up more ‘dementia friends’ will take place in Richmond over the next few weeks.

The District Council is joining forces with the Alzheimer’s Society to promote National Dementia Awareness Week from May 15 – 21.

It will host the free sessions at Mercury House in Station Road, Richmond on Wednesday May 18 from 2-3pm, and Thursday June 2 from 10-11am and 2-3pm.

The sessions cover what it is like to live with dementia and how to turn that understanding into action – anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend.

To book a place on one of the sessions contact richmond@alzheimers.org.uk or call 01748 825817.
