Council to improve digital access for residents

Redcar_and_Cleveland_Borough_CouncilREDCAR & Cleveland Borough Council is encouraging residents to attend one of the Digital Access events taking place throughout February across the borough.

The aim of these events is to get a better understanding from residents on how the council can improve its website, to explore some of the barriers facing residents when accessing services online and to look for ideas on how the council can improve its services digitally.

The council is hosting events on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 24 February 2016, at 5:15-6:45pm, Guisborough library (large meeting room)
  • Thursday 25 February 2016, at 10:30am-12noon, Loftus library (IT suite)
  • Thursday 25 February 2016, at 1:30-3pm, Dormanstown library

Cllr Christopher Massey, Cabinet Member for Resources at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council said:

“We are interested in hearing from a wide range of people from those who may never have used the internet, to those who use the internet to do all their transactions online.

“Through the feedback received at these events, the council can gain a better understanding of the types of barriers our residents face when they go online. This data can then help us to improve Council services and digital access for everyone in the borough.”
