Screen Shot 2015-04-14 at 13.39.31A top therapist from Rockliffe Hall’s spa has recently returned from a fact-finding stay with one of the world’s most respected dermatologists.

Dr Geoff Murad is highly regarded globally for his pioneering work into skin conditions, including acne and issues relating to stress and ageing. His products and treatments are now sold worldwide with Rockliffe Hall being one of the UK’s exclusive specialist Murad spas.

Jade Mitchell, from Darlington, was recently promoted to the role of ‘Murad specialist’ in recognition of her encyclopaedic knowledge of the Californian skin care brand, products and philosophy as well as her outstanding delivery of treatments and guest service.

Jade’s new role requires her to be the flag bearer for Murad at Rockliffe Hall playing a pivotal role in developing, training and delivering treatments and events.

As part of her training for the role, Jade secured a trip to LA to meet Dr Murad and his team where she visited the head office to learn about the latest developments and new products and treatments which she will now share with her colleagues and ultimately Rockliffe Hall’s guests.

In addition, Jade also enjoyed a tour of Hollywood, a day at Universal and a variety of health workshops where she discovered more about Dr Murad’s ‘Water Secret’ for promoting youthful skin and ways in which to tackle cultural stress.

Jade said: “I was over the moon to be promoted to my new role at Rockliffe Hall and the trip to LA was an unbelievable surprise which has boosted my confidence and will have a really positive impact on my work. Having gained more information about new Murad developments we will be able to further enhance our treatment offers to include aspects such as new foot stretches, specific facial massages including reflexology and new hand and arm massages which can help with conditions like carpel tunnel syndrome. It really was an amazing experience.”

Victoria Lees, Rockliffe Hall’s spa manager, said “We were thrilled that Murad offered Jade a place on this once in a lifetime trip. The therapists at Rockliffe Hall are the most talented, dedicated and committed I’ve ever worked with so being able to expand their knowledge and experience with the world’s most respected experts in fantastic. Jade has learnt such a lot and is already working with our team at Murad on developing new and exclusive treatments for our clients.”

Rockliffe Hall’s spa has become one of the most successful in the UK and is the only spa in the North to have the Good Spa Guide award for ‘Best Spa for Sheer Luxury’, competing against high profile spas including Dormy House, Chewton Glen and Pennyhill Park. Rockliffe Hall’s spa is also a Good Spa Guide ‘5 Bubble Luxury’ venue, alongside just five other UK spas, and has announced plans for its £1 million Spa Garden which will open later this year.

As well as Murad, Rockliffe Hall Spa works with brands such as Comfort Zone, Neom, ORLY and Daniel Sandler.
