SHOPPERS will be in a spin over Easter weekend, as Sunderland’s leading shopping centre prepares for fund-raising fun.

On Easter Saturday the Bridges is once again installing its Easter egg wheel, where passers-by can try their luck and win a chocolate prize.

Although there is no cost for spinning the wheel, people will be asked to make a donation which will go to Sunderland’s SR1 Rotary group, which supports good causes across the city.

The Bridges is also playing host to the Crafters Roadshow from Thursday 29th March up to Easter Saturday, where a range of makers will be showcasing a number of different handmade crafts.

“There’s lots going on across the centre over the Easter weekend,” said Andy Bradley, the Bridges’ Centre Director.

“And it’s a perfect time to visit, particularly with Hotel Chocolat having recently opened with lots of fantastic Easter products on offer.

“All the stores are showcasing their new spring ranges and with it being a long weekend, it’s a great opportunity to come and see what’s available – and win a chocolate egg!”
