Cramlington Foodie Festival returns to Manor Walks

ManorWalks_CramlingtonFoodieFestival_2SAVE the date for the Cramlington Foodie Festival, back for its second year at Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure, celebrating the outstanding quality of food we have in the North East.

The Cramlington Foodie Festival will return to Manor Walks’ South Mall on Saturday 18 July 2015, from 9:30am to 3pm, offering visitors the chance to browse and sample tasty treats from food producers from across the region.

Popular local food traders will be showcasing their homemade range of produce, including Mad Jam Woman, Mini Macaroon, Northumberland Sausage Company, Fruit Kitchen, Lottie McPhee’s Cupcakes and Gubeon Range who will have a variety of savoury pies.

A selection of Manor Walks’ retailers will also be serving up delicious food on the day including M&S Simply Food, Dicksons and sweet treats from Curiously Wicked.

Summer classics will be cooked up in the festival’s demonstration kitchen throughout the day from both Frankie & Benny’s and Prezzo, giving shoppers the chance to watch, learn and get involved with the making of the dishes during the cooking sessions.

Budding bakers will have the chance to win a £100 gift card for M&S Simply Food by entering Manor Walks’ Scrummy Scone Search, where visitor’s batches of homemade scones should be brought along on the day to be taste-tested by a panel of judges.

For any young visitors, Lev3l 3 Crafters will be running a series of Krafty Kidz sessions. There will also be face painting and a performance from vintage singing group, the Doo-Wop Dollies at 1:30pm in the Centre Mall.

Bruno Coppola, general manager at Manor Walks, said: “After the success of the first Cramlington Foodie Festival last year, we couldn’t wait to welcome it back for its second year. Visitors will be able to enjoy food stalls, craft stalls and a range of activities and performances at the centre of their community. There really is something for everyone.

“It’s great to celebrate the quality of food produced right here in the North East by our eateries, retailers and some of the region’s best-known food suppliers. The Foodie Festival is the perfect opportunity for our loyal customers to taste something new and pick up some culinary tips just in time for the summer months.”

With over 100 retailers including Northumberland’s only multiplex cinema and a great range of family restaurants as well as high street favourites and independent stores, Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure in Cramlington offers a huge amount of choice to suit a range of tastes.
