BDA NightExpress, and Strictly Green Hydroponics are all taking space on the site. Bespoke Distribution Aviation (BDA) is new to the North East and provides commercial delivery services by road and air.

Strictly Green Hydroponics have relocated from the nearby Evans Easyspace into a 1,500 square foot unit at Morton Park.

The arrival of the new tenants coincides with significant, ongoing investment at the business park, which was acquired at the end of 2015 by property firm Rockspring in partnership with industrial asset specialist Caisson Investment Management. A six figure refurbishment programme is ongoing.

James Ward, Partner at Caisson Investment Management, said “Our strategy of refurbishing units and improving the estate in general is proving to be the right one to attract new tenants and demonstrates the landlord’s commitment to the estate to existing tenants.”

Many of the park’s vacant units are now under offer to a combination of new occupiers to the estate as well as existing tenants, who continue to expand.

Water treatment specialist, Sheers Ltd, which has been on site for twenty years, expanded earlier this month, taking an additional 4,600 square feet, which more than doubles its existing floor area.

Mr Roy Warren, Managing Director of Sheers Limited, said: “The increased area realised by this expansion will allow us to meet the ever growing need for prefabricated chemical dosing and control systems within our core water treatment business.

The £4m site, which covers 106,000 square feet, comprises 46 light industrial units, and is marketed by Connect Property North East.

Jonathan Simpson, Director of Connect Property North East, said: “Morton Park is committed to providing high quality business space. Sustained investment in the site is beginning to pay dividends; as the vacancy levels continue to decrease. It’s gratifying to welcome a steady stream of new tenants and to see existing tenants continue to expand on site. “

James Ward continued “Rockspring and Caisson Investment Management are continuing to invest in refurbishing the business park, which is going from strength to strength. We are committed to continuing improvements at Morton Park.”
