RG Corporate Finance (RGCF) has announced the promotion of two of its talented dealmakers.

Alex Simpson takes the position of Corporate Finance Senior Manager with Adam Cassidy promoted to Corporate Finance Manager.

Both have been instrumental in the continued growth of RG Corporate Finance, advising on a number of significant transactions including, most recently, the sale of North East energy consultancy Squareone Enterprises to AIM-listed Inspired Energy plc and the AIB-funded Management Buy Out of Liberty Vets.

Other significant transactions the pair have been involved in include, the sale of First Freelance to Sovereign-backed, Optionis Group, the £20.1m sale of Gap Personnel to Trust Tech Inc and the sale of Lift-Rite Engineering Group to Benbecula Group.

Central to RGCF’s continued growth is the expertise of its established team, which has helped build its reputation for the provision of strategic advice, enabling its clients to deliver upon growth strategies and increase shareholder value.

This is the second promotion Alex has received since joining RG Corporate Finance in 2015.  Originally joining as Corporate Finance Executive, he took on the position of Manager a year later before taking on this latest role from this month.

Joining RG Corporate Finance from Proctor & Gamble in the summer of 2017 as Corporate Finance Executive, Adam has been rewarded with his promotion following a successful year supporting the delivery of the firm’s corporate finance services, including being part of the team advising on transactions such as the sale of Squareone Enterprises to Inspired Energy plc.

Carl Swansbury, partner at RG Corporate Finance and recently crowned Dealmaker of the Year at NE Insider’s Dealmakers Awards, said: “As the range, size and complexity of transactions we advise on and the level of strategic advice we provide is increasing it is essential that we continue to develop a talented and highly capable team. Alex and Adam are very important members of the RG Corporate Finance team and fully-deserve their promotions based on their exceptional performance and demonstrable contribution over the past 12 months.”

Alex Simpson said: “We are building real momentum as a mid-market corporate finance firm with a growing client base and an increasingly experienced and talented team. I am very proud to have gained this second promotion with the firm and look forward to what lies ahead.”

Adam Cassidy said: “In the time I have been with RG Corporate Finance the firm has experienced strong growth and the depth and breadth of the transactions on which we are advising demonstrates the positive trajectory we are taking and I am very pleased to be part of it.”
