Nineteen year-old Alex Walker from Stockton has joined the company as a social media and events apprentice.

In her new role she is responsible for promoting college activities through social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. She also helps to organise college open days and writes copy for the college’s marketing brochure, website and other promotional material.

In addition, Alex is studying for a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Marketing to further strengthen her skills portfolio. She has already completed a social media and digital marketing apprenticeship at Middlesbrough cable distributor Cleveland Cable Company, where she worked for 13 months.

Alex said: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a forward-thinking and progressive company. I’ll be able to develop my skills at Redcar & Cleveland College while forging a career in the exciting, fast-paced digital communications industry.”
