Lumley Castle Hotel, Chester-Le-Street, will be hosting a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to help keep the kids busy during the summer holidays.

The four-star hotel will be hosting tea parties on Sunday, August 16 and Sunday, September 13.

The tea parties, which will coincide with the 150th anniversary of Lewis Caroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, will include afternoon tea, storytelling, songs from the story’s characters, a children’s sing-a-long and magic from the castle’s own Mad Hatter.

“The Mad Hatter’s Tea Parties are great opportunities for families looking to do something together during the school break,” said Nola Collinson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Lumley Castle Hotel.

“The afternoons promise to be a lot of fun for everyone and our fairytale venue is the perfect backdrop to help our guests celebrate one of the best loved children’s stories.”

The events will run from 2.30pm until 5.30pm and tickets to the tea parties are priced at £15.50 per child and £20 per adult.
