EMG Solicitors, at The Rivergreen Centre, has been shortlisted in the prestigious Law Society Excellence Awards 2016 for excellence in client service.

The awards recognise the most outstanding legal practitioners in their field and the winners will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 20 October, at the Hilton Park Lane, London.

Much of EMG’s work relates to professional deputyships and trusteeships, particularly for clients who have sustained a brain injury.

And, as a result, the company has implemented a heavily service-led working model aimed at building lasting relationships with clients which has been adapted by all the firm’s areas of specialism, including family law, conveyancing, disputes and litigation and Wills, trusts and probate.

The 14-strong practice, founded in 2014, awards each client of the court of protection team a senior and junior solicitor, supported by a legal executive, who can be contacted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Currently acting as professional deputies and trustees for around 70 clients, EMG   hopes to increase this by about 15 per cent year on year with the aim of becoming the leading team nationally for court of protection work.

“We can only do this by putting the client first,” said EMG’s founder Emma Gaudern, “and consequently many of our new instructions come from referrals from existing clients.

“We are particularly proud that we have been shortlisted in this category because the service we provide to our clients is our absolute priority,” she added.

“We care about and are committed to our clients and it is fabulous that the Law Society, which promotes the highest professional standards within the profession, has recognised this.”
