Aspiring adventurers in Durham have the opportunity to apply for the ultimate part-time job – getting paid to explore the most exciting destinations across Great Britain.

With competition to get a part-time job fiercer than ever as record numbers of students head to universities this September, 16-25 Railcard is giving one lucky person the chance to be appointed as Chief Adventure Officer (CAO).

The winning travel seeker will be tasked with vlogging their way around Great Britain on paid for trips to destinations of their choice – and paid £10,000 for the privilege.

Key requirements for the new role include an adventurous spirit, a natural curiosity for new places and the desire to share travel experiences with the world.

From dancing in a field at a festival, to surfing along the coast or sightseeing in a new city, budding Durham explorers are being given the chance to travel around Great Britain in search of adventure in the ultimate part-time job.

Daniela Maki, Railcards Product Manager from National Rail, said: “Getting paid to travel is a lot of people’s dream job and now we are making it a reality for one lucky person. We are looking for a real adventurer, and calling on 16-25 year olds in Durham who live to explore new places and love telling the world about their exciting travels.”

“Whether you’re heading to university or not, the 16-25 Railcard saves you cash, helps you visit interesting places and spend money on the things you enjoy the most, so we thought why not take that to the next level for one lucky candidate?”

“Our new CAO will get the chance to visit some really amazing locations and inspire us all by showing the exciting places Great Britain has on offer. So if your suitcase is always by the door, just in case, and you are looking for your next adventure this is the perfect new job for you.”

To apply, aspiring Durham adventurers aged 16 and 25 years old or mature students simply need to send us a video of a recent trip by Sunday 16th October and tell us a bit about themselves on www.16-25railcard.co.uk/CAO

16-25 Railcard costs just £30 and saves 1/3 on rail fares throughout Great Britain for a whole year. To find out more visit:www.16-25railcard.co.uk
