Energy sector recruitment company Energy Professionals Group has strengthened its US foothold by establishing a permanent office in Houston, Texas.
The company, which provides its clients with a unique package of compliance and insurance for the contractors it places, already has an office in Augusta, Georgia, from which its rapid growth in the USA has been managed. Its new Houston premises gives Energy Professionals Group increased access to the US Oil & Gas market and its labour force.
As a provider of skilled manpower for the energy sector, the company, which is a member of business development organisation NOF Energy, has benefitted from the rapid expansion of shale gas in fields across the USA by providing both permanent and agency workers.
Since it was founded in late 2015, Energy Professionals Group has grown from three to twelve people, now working across four offices, and has placed candidates in 21 countries. The firm now has offices in Washington – Tyne and Wear, London, Augusta and Houston.
In addition to its American expansion, Energy Professionals Group has also made appointments of its own to establish Built Environment, Renewables and Asia divisions. It’s Asia division has already had notable success, having placed employees in high profile companies including Samsung, Hyundai and Daewoo.
Gareth Allen, Managing Director of Energy Professionals Group, said: “Our recent expansion, especially establishing an office in Houston, puts is in an even stronger position to serve clients globally. In a short time we have overcome the challenges presented by the global slump in oil prices to establish a strong reputation in the energy industry and our new appointments present us with an opportunity to do the same in new markets.
“In a world of ever advancing technology, people remain at the heart of business, and we are proud to find the right candidates, with the right compliance and insurance, to some of the world’s largest and best known companies, and also proud to supply them to smaller but equally excellent businesses too.”
Paul Livingstone, Business Development Manager at NOF Energy, said: “The energy sector has always been global in its scale. The Expansion of Energy Professionals Group into Houston, and into new markets, is a brilliant achievement for the company and should be encouraging to emerging professional services providers in the supply chain.”
