A fast-growing energy company has doubled in size as it restructures to meet demand and looks set to grow even further.

From its base at the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), Arktek Group Limited has gone from two members of staff to 13 as well as expanding from 631 sq ft to 1262 sq ft with further plans to recruit another four in the coming months.

The company established itself into the market in December last year providing a range of energy saving measures through funded schemes to domestic and commercial customers in the North of England and Scotland.

Set up by Nigel Jones and Mark Bewick the business is growing at a rapid rate and has already exceeded expectations, Nigel explains:

“Mark and I are happy with how well the business has gone so far. We have followed our initial business plan delivering a high quality service. We have unique core values as a business which have been essential to our success.

“We have managed to recruit an excellent team, providing them with training opportunities to ensure they have the skills needed to fulfil our objectives.

“The BIC is a fabulous space in an ideal location. We have a meeting room within one of our offices and the telecoms and I.T. support is available as and when we require it.

“We have doubled the office space we occupy here and already have plans to take on additional space as we continue to grow.”

Donna Surtees, centre manager at the BIC added:

“We are delighted with the news that Arktek have expanded. With their knowledge and expertise I have no doubts that the business will continue to be a success. It’s exciting to know that they already have plans to take on further space here at the BIC.”
