ONLINE digital marketing specialist Espresso Web has today announced a unique media partnership deal with national consumer site Checkatrade in a move that will create at least 20 jobs in the region.

In the first alliance of its kind for the UK’s largest online review and contractor booking site, Checkatrade and Espresso Web will join forces to increase their tailormade product offerings to a combined consumer database of almost 30,000 tradespeople.

Espresso Web sales director Stephen Robinson said the digital partnership will create a number of sales positions at its head office in Middlesbrough, in turn paving the way for additional back office and service provision roles in the future.

“It’s great to find a company that has such strong values that are in line with ours and want to do the most they can to help customers throughout the UK,” said Mr Robinson.

“Partnering with such a trusted force is a great confidence boost for us and shows we are well on our way to becoming a similar trusted force.

“Setting up this partnership with Checkatrade is huge for Espresso Web, it means we can expand our team further and recruit Teesside’s finest. We are looking to employ some 20 new members of staff, helping to take us to the next level.”

Award winning Espresso Web already employs 32 staff in its head office at Brighouse Business Village, on Middlesbrough’s Riverside Park, and offers a full range of Search Engine Optimisation services, web design, e-commerce website development and social media marketing.

Its deal with Checkatrade will give tens of thousands of tradesmen nationwide the opportunity to benefit from tailormade, discounted digital marketing packages bespoke to Espresso Web. Users will also benefit from listings on Espresso Web’s business directory Bizify.

The partnership will also see the Middlesbrough firm launch a new late-night business model, extending its hours of business to run from 8am until 8pm, three days a week, in order to cater for its growing number of trade clients who need to access digital marketing services after standard working hours.

Anthony Way – head of partnerships of Selsey-based Checkatrade, said the company is “delighted” to announce the partnership.

“We vet every potential partner and only work with those who will represent the Checkatrade brand and the values in which it operates; something both Espresso Web and Bizify have demonstrated,” he said.

“Our members can now benefit from some great additional business support from two great companies that not only understand Checkatrade and its values but importantly know how to add value to its members.”
