Frank’s the Flooring Store, one of the North East’s best known names in retail, is expanding its presence in the County Durham town of Consett with the creation of new premises.
The company currently has a store in the town’s Middle Street, but new purpose-built premises are being constructed for the retailer to move to the Pond Court Business Park.
Completion on the building is expected in the Autumn, with the new 10,000 sq ft Frank’s the Flooring Store scheduled to open in November 2015. The new store follows the opening of the 25th Frank’s store, in Cramlington, earlier this year.
Details of job creation and recruitment opportunities resulting from the increased store size will be made available later in the year.
Mick Copeland, Business Development Manager at Frank’s the Flooring Store, said: “It is important that we expand our presence in Consett, so that we can expand our growing range of great carpets, laminate and vinyl flooring, solid and engineered wood flooring, artificial grass and rugs for our customers in the area.
“Developing this new site is part of a move to open larger stores, to cater for this increase in product types and ranges and the continued support and custom of people who live and shop in the areas we serve.”
