Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Free courses help jobseekers apply themselves

CaptureJobseekers across County Durham are being offered free places at two upcoming courses focusing on making application forms stand out from the crowd.

The free training sessions, organised by County Durham Housing Group, will be held on:

  • Thursday, 3 March, from 10am to 12.30pm at Kasko House in Blackhall
  • Wednesday, 9 March, from 10am to 12.30pm at Murton Housing Partnership on Woods Terrace.

Claire Maddison, Employment and Skills Officer at County Durham Housing Group, said: “In an increasingly competitive job market, it’s important to ensure that your application form presents you in the best possible way.

“Our two free informal workshops will provide attendees with expert advice about what to put on their application form and – just as importantly – the pitfalls to avoid.

“Anyone wanting further information, or to book their free place at a workshop, should email employability@cdhg.co.uk or call us on 0191 349 7657.”

County Durham Housing Group’s Employment and Skills Team provides support to tenants of Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes to find a job, access training, gain apprenticeships and venture into self-employment.

Details of future workshops across the county can be found at http://www.countydurhamhousinggroup.co.uk/events-calendar
