Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Fun for all the Family at Fabulous Fairy Dell

Screen Shot 2015-09-22 at 12.44.47WITH spring finally putting in an appearance, now’s the time to get out and about and enjoy the great outdoors.

And there’s nowhere better for a half term family stroll on Friday, June 3 than the beautiful Fairy Dell, right on our doorstep in Coulby Newham.

Just pop on some comfy shoes or wellies and head for one of nature’s treasure troves, with expert guidance on hand to help you make the most of what’s on offer.

If the sun’s shining, why not dip a toe in the stream, or try a bit of dam building and search for the witch?

No need to book – just turn up at any of the planned sessions or bring a picnic and stay all day.

Sessions run on Friday, June 3 from 10.30am to noon, 1pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 4.30pm – meet outside Langdon Square Community Centre at Coulby Newham.

Cherie Kemp, Outdoor Play Co-ordinator at Middlesbrough Environment City, said: “We’re lucky in Middlesbrough to have some fantastic Green Flag parks and open spaces, and Fairy Dell is always a firm family favourite.

“There’s half term activity for young and old alike – time to turn off the telly and the tablet and enjoy the great outdoors.

“And if it rains then we will get wet…but remember skin is waterproof and we will soon dry!”
