Award-winning, Northumberland-based PR and communications agency, Fusion PR Creative has recently increased its team by appointing a new PR Consultant. Garry Smith joins the fast growing company with over 18 years’ PR experience working across both the public and private sectors.

Garry will bring his creative flare to Fusion’s portfolio of clients providing a resource to raise the profile of businesses and companies through a variety of promotional platforms.

Across nearly two decades Garry has penned and devised PR campaigns that have hit the headlines regionally, nationally and worldwide for high profile product launches, arts and culture festivals, generating a buzz for SME businesses and gaining a voice for BME charities.

Over the past six years his focus has been plying his trade in the public sector by providing specialist communications support for three of the region’s local authority press offices, and a spell with two North East emergency services. This has provided Garry with a wealth of reactive and proactive experience. He also appreciates the importance of social media and digital in the current PR climate.

Fusion PR Creative is going from strength to strength after being presented with the Outstanding Small PR Consultancy of the Year at the 2017 CIPR PRide Awards (North East).

John McCabe, managing director of Fusion PR Creative, said: “The past year has seen Fusion grow to new heights by adding new clients and winning awards from our business peers.  This has allowed us to expand our dedicated team and welcoming Garry means that his public and private sector knowledge will prove a wonderful asset for Fusion. His enthusiasm, creativity and eye for a good story will ensure Fusion will continue to grab the headlines for our clients.”

Fusion PR Creative is proud to represent some of the UK’s leading companies in their chosen field from Northumbria University to Lynemouth Power and from Northumberland National Park to AVID Technology Group.
