SHOPPERS at a North East shopping centre can experience a whirlwind romance as part of a weekend of celebrations this Valentine’s.
The Bridges, Sunderland, will be joining forces with Heart Radio to give its visitors the chance to win some special prizes, which will make the perfect gift for their loved ones.
On Saturday, February 13 Heart’s Winning Whirlwind will be at the centre giving shoppers the chance to enter the whirlwind and compete for prizes by catching confetti hearts.
The contestants who catch the most hearts will win a number of top prizes, such as a £100 Bridges gift card, a £50 Swarovski gift card, Vision Express sunglasses vouchers, a bundle from The Body Shop, a LUSH gift set and more.
“Valentine’s Day is a great time to show someone how much you love them,” said Andy Bradley, Centre Director at the Bridges.
“The Bridges houses some of the high street’s top retailers, who will be exhibiting their special gifts in the mall over the weekend.
“The idea behind the Winning Whirlwind is to make it even easier for our shoppers to get the perfect gift while having a bit of fun too, we really hope people will come along and get involved.”
Among the stores in the Bridges are a number of jewellery stores, including Swarovski, Pandora and Beaverbrooks along with a number of stores selling fragrance and beauty sets such as Boots, LUSH, the Perfume Shop, Fizzylicious and the Body Shop.
The centre, which will also be giving away a Bridges gift card on Facebook and a special Mickey Mouse teddy on their Twitter, also houses a Debenhams and a number of fashion retailers and confectionary stores.
