Haines Watts is proud to sponsor the County Durham Community Foundation 2017 Women’s Spring Lunch once again.

The firm will sponsor the eighth Women’s Spring Lunch, hosted by County Durham Community Foundation for the fifth year in a row. This year, the event, which takes place at Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham, will celebrate the humble beginnings of regional business Crafter’s Companion.

Donna Bulmer, managing partner at Haines Watts, said: “We’re always looking at different ways to help charities, from our wide range of CSR activities to our work with charitable organisations across the region.

“We have sponsored and attended the Women’s Spring Lunch for several years now and it’s always been a great event.

“County Durham Community Foundation makes a genuine difference to the lives of local people and work hard to make a lasting difference to people in County Durham and Darlington by supporting the growth and prosperity of the region. We’re delighted to be able to support the organisation’s hard work once again.”

“We’re really looking forward to the lunch – it’s a lovely way to meet and catch up with business women from all over the North East.”

Guest speaker Sara Davies, founder of Crafter’s Companion, will be sharing her story on how the company sells products across the world through retail stores, online and through TV shopping channels.

Barbara Gubbins, CEO of County Durham Community Foundation, said: “The Women’s Spring Lunch is a great opportunity for women from a variety of sectors to network and learn about the philanthropic activity taking place within their local communities.

“We are very grateful to all of our supporters including Haines Watts; with their continued support this annual event has gained momentum and is now well established in the calendars of professional women across County Durham and the North East.”

Those attending the Women’s Spring Lunch will enjoy drinks on arrival followed by a two course lunch served in the summer marquee.

As well as the guest speaker and lunch, the event will also incorporate a raffle and business card draw with all monies raised going to County Durham Community Foundation.

Haines Watts North East provides a full range of accountancy services to regional businesses, including a number of charities and third sector clients. The company also takes part in a number of charity activities throughout the year, supporting a wide range of good causes.
