Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Hambleton Running Club – Leaders Running Course

209Local runners who want to share their passion for running are being urged to sign up to a special course being held in Northallerton next month.

The one day ‘Leadership in Running Fitness’ course – accredited by UK Athletics, is ideal for those already running a club or for those running with friends at lunchtime and who would like to help them improve.  It will show how to deliver fun and safe sessions to multi-ability groups and how to give advice and support to the new runner, as well as developing pathways for those who want to progress.

“The course is an integral part of our new “Running Hub” programme” said David Earl Hambleton District Council’s Development Officer – Health and Wellbeing.

“It focuses on understanding and overcoming barriers to participation in running and how to increase participation with those not traditionally attracted to a running club.

“The council is also looking for people to assist in developing the Running Hub and for anyone who completes the course and is interested in helping then we can offer the course for free!”

The course takes place on Sunday 1 November, 2015  at The Forum, Bullamoor Road, Northallerton at 9.30am and costs £155.
