Hartlepool United FC: 2016/17 Season Ticket Sales Hit 2,000

Hartlepool United FCSeason Ticket sales for 2016/17 have blasted well past the 2,000 mark as excitement continues to build ahead of the new campaign at Victoria Park.

Pools fans have been turning up at the Ticket Office in their numbers to sign-up for the fresh season and latest figures have revealed that some 2,150 Season Tickets have already been snapped up.

That means that sales are up an incredible 44% on the same time last year, with the pace picking up on the back of some good summer business on the transfer front from boss Craig Hignett.

Prolific front man Padraig Amond checked-in to The Vic last week from Grimsby Town, joining his former Mariners team-mate Toto Nsiala and free-scoring Dover Athletic schemer Nicky Deverdics.

Hignett is still on the lookout for more players to strengthen his squad as they prepare to return for pre-season training this week but is thrilled by the backing the Club is receiving from supporters.

“It’s massive for us to know the fans are right behind the Club,” he admitted.

“You know what it’s like when Victoria Park is packed – the atmosphere is unbelievable and it can really spur the players on so we want as many people coming to games as possible.

“We want everyone to be together and pushing in the same direction and, if we do that, then hopefully we can have a really enjoyable season.

“I can’t wait to get back in to training now because we have some exciting players to work with and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”

Early Bird prices mean that adults can buy a Season Ticket for just £250 (£10.87 per game), Students and Seniors are only £150 (£6.52 per game), Under 19s are a mere £120 (£5.22 per game) and Under 16s can come along for a cracking £75 (£3.26 per game).

The deadline for Early Bird rates is Friday 1 st July so make sure you sign-up this week and #BePools for 2016/17.
