A community scheme that helps adults with learning difficulties acquire new skills is holding a furniture sale, the proceeds from which will be reinvested back into this important service.
The sale will take place on Saturday 6th May, 10am – 4pm, in the Tynedale Centre in Hexham.
On sale will be antique and pre-loved furniture, upcycled furniture, quirky one-off items, gift ideas, craft stalls and cake stalls.
Northumberland County Council run eight learning day centres where staff provide a range of support services and activities for adults with learning disabilities and aims to provide users of the service with a range of opportunities to broaden skills and build upon existing talents.
Sean Brennan, Senior Manager at Northumberland County Council said, “This is an important service helping adults with learning difficulties to broaden their skills and through this sale the service users have an opportunity to showcase and sell their work with all proceeds going back into the service.
There will be a great range of items on sale and something for everyone and this is a great opportunity to support this local service.”
