The Cleveland Tontine, situated near Northallerton, will start its Tontine Talks events in May, kicking off with an evening hosted by Camerons Brewery of Hartlepool.

Dating back to 1804, the unique inn has always been a popular venue for corporate events and business meetings, thanks to its elegance, charm and easy access from the A19, but the new events calendar hopes to connect with local business community even further.

The Cleveland Tontine’s general manager, Eric Kortenbach, said: “The Cleveland Tontine has always been seen as an ideal location for doing business, and that’s why we thought it would be a great opportunity to expand into that sector by hosting our own networking events.

“Our first Tontine Talks event promises to be a great evening, with a beer and chocolate tasting hosted by Camerons brewery, which produces the aptly named Tontine Ale. Subsequent evenings will follow the same format, with hosted experiences such as a Champagne tasting during National Champagne Week in October.”

As well as the tasting, there will be a hosted tour of the historic building and its grounds, which has recently started to host wedding ceremonies after gaining its licence.

The Cleveland Tontine already offers a number of corporate event packages and its adaptable layout means they can accommodate small boardroom style meetings as well as larger events of up to 60 people, whilst remaining private and self-contained.
