One of the area’s much loved independent shops is celebrating after an official opening on Stockton’s Silver Street.

All Things Wool marked the big move with a special launch featuring the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Maurice Perry, on Saturday (10 March).

The shop stocks a vast range of yarns, patterns and kits as well as running craft workshops on a regular basis.

All Things Wool started out in Stockton’s Enterprise Arcade back in May 2014 before moving into larger premises on the town’s Dovecot Street in May 2016. The business’ strong growth and expansion into workshops has meant the shop’s new Silver Street home is the perfect platform for the future.

Shop owner, Sam Hill, said: “I was overwhelmed by the turnout and support from all of our customers and it was great to see some new faces too.  I would like to say a huge thank you to Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and B Supplied for their ongoing support and advice as I would not have got this far without it.

“I am super excited to be a part of the Silver Street family and I am looking forward to growing the business further”

The Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Maurice Perry, added: “I was delighted to help open All Things Wool on Silver Street and it’s fantastic to see the shop is going from strength to strength.

“There was a really welcoming atmosphere so I’d strongly recommend a visit to all experienced craft lovers and people who may be looking to start a new hobby.”

All Things Wool is open between 10am and 4pm Tuesday to Friday and 9.30am to 5pm on Saturdays.
