Mac Toal, aged eight from Prudhoe and Myah Rose Wilson, aged seven from Sunderland, otherwise known as intu Metrocentre’s Heads of Fun, took centre stage at the centre’s Fashion Live event this weekend.

Sporting the latest autumn/winter fashion styles from retailers, the fun duo walked down the catwalk with the region’s top models showing shoppers how young fashionistas can have fun with fashion too.

Mac Toal, head of fun said, “I was a little bit scared at first walking out in front of all the people watching the shows but once I was on the stage it was a lot of fun.

“I really liked my outfit from River Island, I might ask my mum and dad if Santa can bring me it for Christmas.”

As part of the centre’s autumnal fashion events showcasing this season’s key looks, customers visiting intu Metrocentre will be able to snap up a limited edition tote bag featuring an exclusive Celia Birtwell print, unique to intu, which combines two of the season’s must-have colours in a one-off design.

Customers visiting the centre during its launch of this season’s fashions will be able to get their hands on one of the exclusive bags by spending £50 or more on intu Gift Cards in one transaction from Thursday 8 – Saturday 31 October.

Helen Atkinson, marketing manager said, “Our fashion events in the centre are always a big success with shoppers and retailers, and this season’s shows have been bigger and better than ever with our collaboration with world renowned designer, Celia Birtwell.

“It was great to see the centre’s Heads of Fun take to the stage and show children can have just as much fun in fashion. They really enjoyed being on the catwalk, and may have showed the models a thing or two as well!”
