An award-winning dental and skincare practice in Newcastle is kicking off its sponsorship of a well-established Jesmond football club.
Honour Health, based at Osborne Road in Jesmond, is the newest main kit sponsor of West Jesmond AFC, and is lending its support to the club for the next three years.
Honour Health, owned by principal dentist Onkar Dhanoya, has three practices – in Ponteland, Jesmond and Stanley. Last year, the practice changed its name from Osborne Dental, rebranding as Honour Health to better reflect the advanced range of dental and skin treatments on offer. The word ‘health’ also highlights the team’s mission, which is to focus on the prevention of dental disease, and to improve patients’ health and wellbeing across the North East.
As part of the rebrand, each of the three Honour Health practices pledged to support groups in their local communities who promote exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Honour Health Jesmond has chosen to sponsor West Jesmond AFC, which is based at Walker Technology College.
Founded in 2004, West Jesmond Amateur Football Club brings together players from all walks of life through their shared love of the beautiful game. The club began life in the Tyneside Amateur League second division, achieving promotion to the first division in 2006. The side reached their first cup final in 2007 and in 2012 achieved a staggering quadruple, winning the Tyneside Amateur League First Division, the John Hampson Memorial Trophy, the Tyneside Amateur Shield and the Neville Cowey Cup in the same season. Since then, the club has finished in the top four of the Tyneside Amateur League in consecutive seasons. Now, the Honour Health logo will be adorning the team’s home shirts for the next three years.

Honour Health Jesmond offers NHS and private dental care, and focuses on the prevention of dental disease. The team provide comprehensive dental health assessments to monitor the health of the patient’s mouth, teeth and gums. Private treatments include mouth hygiene packages, aesthetic dentistry, Invisalign, teeth whitening and dental implants.
The practice also aims to maintain skin health, and offers a range of advanced skin treatments include skin peels, plasma facials, muscle relaxants, dermal fillers, electronic micro-needling and laser hair removal.
As part of Honour Health’s rebrand, the practice has introduced The Honour Health Club, offering patients the opportunity to receive up to 20% off dental treatments, 10% off all skin treatments, worldwide dental insurance, a minimum of two dental health assessments and two Airflow hygiene treatments per year, and late evening and Saturday appointments.
