Grants of up to £500 are available as part of the Let’s Join In Community Events Fund.
Community and voluntary groups in the Chester-le-Street and the surrounding area can now apply for funding between £100 and £500 to support their own community event.
Funded by the Chester-le-Street and District Area Action Partnership, applications for the Let’s Join In Community Events Fund are now open.
Potential applicants who wish to seek further advice can attend a drop-in session on Tuesday 22 March 2016, between 3.00pm and 6.00pm at The Bede Room – Cornerstones Centre for the Community, North Burns, Chester-le-Street, DH3 3TF.
This session will give further guidance on completing the application as well as more specific guidance around event planning and event safety.
The grants are to be used to support community events taking place between 21 April and 18 September 2016 to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday or the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Applicants have until Tuesday 29 March to apply.
