Local charity appeals to businesses for help

The local ‘Wheels 2 Work’ moped loan scheme operated by Northallerton based charity Hambleton Community Action urgently needs your help to fund the purchase of new mopeds.

Over the past 16 years the moped loan scheme has helped 100’s of young people get to work and apprenticeships at local businesses when no other form of transport is available to them.  We do this by loaning a moped to the young person whilst they work and save up for their own transport.

The problem ……our fleet of mopeds is getting old.  Each new moped costs £1200 and we urgently need new scooters to help the young people on our waiting list.

How you can help……. a financial contribution from your business, large or small, would allow us to buy new mopeds to help many more young people in the years to come, enabling them to work at local businesses like yours.

In return……. to let your customers see what your business is doing to support a local charity, we would promote your sponsorship on social media, the Wheels 2 Work van and on our website.
