Golfers from around the North East will be going head-to-head to help support the region’s oldest children’s charity this month.
The Children North East Golf Day is taking place on Tuesday 9th May at one of the North East’s most challenging courses, Close House, which will be hosting the British Masters in September 2017.
The friendly tournament attracts golfers of all standards who are invited to play in teams of four.  Corporate teams will hit it out to win the day’s top prize of the Children North East Tournament Trophy alongside another round of golf at Close House and Champagne.
Carol Taylor, Senior Fundraiser at Children North East, said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for corporates to get together and raise some funds in aid of the region’s oldest independent children’s charity.  Here at Children North East we are always looking for new enjoyable ways for people to get involved with us and playing golf hits the spot.”
As part of their round of golf, players will have the chance to win Nissan Micra Tekna IG-T90 from Wylam Garage, by getting a hole in one.  There will also be prizes for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, as well as a chance to ‘Beat the Pro’ and a putting competition.
