NORTHUMBERLAND residents are being encouraged to put their best foot forward as the county’s largest shopping and leisure destination hosts its first Careers Event this half term.
Held on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure in partnership with Adecco Cramlington, the event will help prepare Northumberland’s future workforce to secure their dream job.
The free Careers Event, which will be held in Centre Mall from 11am until 2pm, will offer people looking for employment with interview advice and preparation tips, CV tips as well as advice on personal branding and how best to conduct yourself in the workplace. Adecco’s recruitment team will also be on hand to answer any questions and share details of temporary and permanent job opportunities.
Bruno Coppola, general manager at Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure, said: “By hosting our Careers Event in partnership with Adecco we are helping local people to secure local jobs.
“The event will provide a one-stop shop to those living in our surrounding communities who are looking for work to aid their career prospects, from sharing details of job opportunities and CV tips to advice on personal branding and interview conduct.
“We hope the Careers Event will see people come away feeling excited about their future potential career options.”
Mick Kumar, branch manager at Adecco Cramlington, added: “There is some great candidates in Northumberland who can sometimes feel unsure of how best to approach opportunities. By teaming up with Manor Walks we hope to help them reach their full potential.
