Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

New Multi Sports Club in Bedale

209A new course of sports sessions, which aim to encourage disabled people to become more physically active is coming to Bedale later this month.

Starting off with a ‘come and try’ event on Saturday 16 April at the towns leisure centre –  the aim of the  Multi Sports Club is to provide a variety of sports for people of all ages and abilities – including kwik cricket, boccia, dodge ball and the multi-sport challenge!

The club will then start on 30 April and run until 11 June with sessions running from 2 – 3pm.  The hour long classes at Bedale Leisure Centre cost £3 per session.

Parents, carers, supporters and guardians are welcome to attend – and all sessions are wheelchair friendly and can be adapted to meet the needs of the individuals attending  regardless of ability.

Booking is essential – contact Joe McKechnie (Inclusive Sports Officer) on 01609 767261 or joe.mckechnie@hambleton.gov.uk

There are coaching and volunteering opportunities available at the club who are always happy to gain extra support for the sessions and would welcome anyone with an interest to get involved with the activities.
