With over seven years of retail customer service experience, Danielle Gray, 28 from Gateshead was head-hunted by the regional manager for Goldsmiths and offered her position at Reid & Sons, where she now works as part of a team of eight.

Danielle has joined the company from Kurt Geiger in Eldon Square, where she was assistant manager.  Previous to this, she spent six years as assistant manager at Office both in the Metro Centre and Eldon Square.

Danielle said:  “I was looking for a new challenge in my career and when I was offered the job, it was too good an opportunity to miss.  I feel very proud to work for such a highly thought of company that plays such an important role in Newcastle’s retail history.”

“Customer service is paramount at Reid & Sons and this is something that I take very seriously – for me, it’s all about the customer and ensuring that their experience in the store is as enjoyable as possible.

“Most come in to store to buy for an occasion, or they’ve saved to buy a special piece of jewellery.  Whatever the reason and however much they’re looking to spend, every customer is treated the same.”

Reid & Sons was established in 1778 as Goldsmiths original showroom.  The stunning Edwardian decor treats you to a glimpse of Goldsmiths illustrious history, whilst a dedicated team of diamond specialists are on hand to help customers create unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime.
