North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

CaptureTHE North East’s top rugby team has given the thumbs up to the region’s newest spa – and launched a package aimed at Rugby World Cup “widows.”

Members of Newcastle Falcons took time out to check out the facilities at the Spa at Ramside, the multi-million pound spa which recently opened its doors at Ramside Hall Hotel, County Durham.

And their visit coincided with the launch of the spa’s Scrum Diddly Umptious package – aimed at providing some rest and relaxation for anyone whose partner will be glued to the Rugby World Cup, which begins on September 18.

The afternoon package includes a drink on arrival, use of the spa facilities for up to three hours and afternoon tea and costs £47 on Monday to Thursdays and £50 on Friday.

“We were delighted that the Falcons came to try out the spa and to help launch our Rugby World Cup package,” said Jill Russell, Spa Director.

“This is a great offer for individuals or for a group of friends who might want to get together and enjoy an afternoon of spa treats away from the rugby.”

Speaking at the launch, Newcastle Falcons Prop Rob Vickers said: “The facilities at Ramside are second to none.

“Although many people will be glued to the Rugby World Cup as it unfolds, this new spa package provides a perfect afternoon for anyone who wants to escape the rugby.”

The Spa at Ramside opened last month (Aug) and offers some of the best facilities in the region including five pools, a sleep sanctuary, state-of-the-art gym and a range of saunas and heat treatment area.

In addition it has 14 treatment rooms, a beauty snug, a hairdressing salon and an Asian Fusion restaurant.

The Scrum Diddly Umptious package can be booked by calling 0191 375 3088. Full details of all packages and memberships are available at www.ramsidespa.co.uk
