Newcastle Restaurant Invites Customers To ‘Take Tea’ This August

The Newcastle venue’s authentic Thai cuisine offer now includes an even wider variety of desserts for those with a sweet tooth and a cool twist of iced Thai beverages for its caffeine loving customers.

A brand new addition is Thai Iced Tea, a delicate tea infusion mixed with carnation milk, served freezing cold. It’s joined by Thai Iced Coffee – the finest, freshly grounded coffee beans mixed with sweet condensed milk – both are perfect served either post-meal or as a relaxing midday pick-me-up.

The House Special desserts menu also promises to deliver, featuring Thai specialties such as Banana Fritter served with vanilla ice-cream, Pandan Pancake flavoured with sweet coconut, the cooling Mantra Affogato for coffee lovers and Mantra Thai’s very own Panna Cotta, which is made from a secret recipe.

For more traditional taste buds, the venue also offers classic favourites such as Cheesecake, Chocolate Truffles with raspberry soft center and the addition of Jam Sponge Pudding served with fresh strawberry sauce, or the Sticky Toffee Pudding served with fresh butterscotch sauce, all made by Mantra’s resident chefs.

Jeab Prapunwong, Mantra Thai owner, said: “We’ve brought the tastes of summer in Thailand to Newcastle’s Quayside with our iced beverages and new desserts and we’re really looking forward to serving our guests these delicious summer refreshments.”
