Newcastle United Season Ticket Sales Soar

newcastle united largeSeason ticket sales at Newcastle United have soared past last season’s total – with the first league game at St. James’ Park still a full month away.

Despite relegation to the SkyBet Championship, more than 33,000 supporters have already renewed or purchased a season ticket, which secures a seat at all 23 of the Magpies’ home league fixtures during the 2016/17 campaign.

With Rafa Benítez’s side kicking off their pre-season preparations at Bohemian FC in Dublin on Saturday, fellow supporters now have a four-week general sale period in which to secure their seats at St. James’ Park ahead of the home league opener.

Huddersfield Town will be the first Championship visitors to Tyneside on Saturday 13th August (3pm kick-off), eight days after United get the league season under way at Fulham, live on Sky Sports.

Following last week’s deadline for existing season ticket holders, a limited number of seats have now become available in the stadium’s hugely popular Family Area, offering a full season of football from just £329 for adults and £68 for juniors.

Entry to the Family Area is based on a ratio of two adults to one child. Juniors up to the age of 18 can be unlimited, but under-13s must be accompanied by an adult.

Availability remains good in most other areas of St. James’ Park, though there are only a handful of individual seats remaining in the South East corner of the ground.

Prices include a stadium-wide 10% discount on all season tickets, which was announced by the club in May – adding to a previous reduction of up to 54% on all junior season ticket prices announced in February.

Following the 10% discount, existing season ticket holders who have paid up front in full will soon be receiving details of refunds, while existing season ticket holders on the club’s Direct Debit scheme will be notified of reductions in their payments shortly.

Existing season ticket holders are reminded to retain last season’s entry card for the new 2016/17 campaign. New season ticket holders and supporters who have moved seats or changed concession bands will receive a new card byThursday 4th August.

The club will be emailing season ticket holders next week with full information on entry cards, including what to do if cards have been lost or damaged.
